HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

well, hello, got my sober head on today.....only for a few more hours mind and then its the countdown to 2007... what a year its been eh? Firstly, apologies for my waffled last 2 drunken entries , basically took a shortcut thru a underpass that pedestrians atre not allowed to walk under, especially not when drunk, flailing, shouting and stopping every passing car in order to get a lift home, Dear Lord, I even stopped an ambulance! yes.. well the cops came and took us back to Cap D'Ail... my collegue was less than impressed the next day and even warned me that he won't venture out with me again if I behave in that way... oopsy... can get away with Justine drunkeness with you guys, esp Lisa and Moosey etc but with normal people in the outside world as it were... they don't know what to do with me... so good thing as from 2mrw I'm on a month detox, no more alcohol., the cigs will be gone from my life for good anyway but gonna get fit fit fit... signed up for personal sessions with power plate thing, like Madonna, its so good, bloody hurts tho... well anyways, this year has gone way too fast, its frightening... but here's a toast to all my friends, Happy New Year guys. oh me oh my... not drunk... noooooooooo well en route back to the boat after being told about dru8nbken behavoiur... we;ll, i stole a bamboo tree and put it in my shower and stuff and knocked things over, was told that the police in monaco had nothing bettetr to do othet ythan wathc the cctv so be caredfu!! so//// off i was in my druk eness 2nite a nd was trying to hitch hike a lift back to the boat when ALL OF A SUDDEN THE FLASHING LIGHTDS" CAME! Bonjour!!

Hi, sorry I've not written for a while, been soooo busy... working hard, all is good and I'm really very happy... been a naughty girl as some as you know but knocked that on the head.... how very adult of me. Well, been out on the piss pretty much most nights drinking my body weight in red wine. Been back on the fags.... I know I know... its bad but it will be illegal smoke here in Jan and July in UK, so may as well stop then.. Went out with the crew on Lady Libra which is next door to us as have always gotton on well with them, so was very sweet, we went to Monkey bar in Monaco for dinner and drinks and then on to La Rascase which is a cool bar with live music open til 5am... danced a lot til about 3.30am.. was superb.. was on watch on Fri which was a good thing as shattered and then had a full on booze filled day yesterday... enough drinking for me for a while... til Chrimbo anyways... gonna cook a ham and a turkey for Chrimbo lunch. xxx

Update...

Well the sun is still shining here.. been about 20 most days, def still t-shirt weather here... www.masqueradeofsole.com is the site for the yacht and send me an email if you want the address.. if you fancy posting me something.. the owner is on board for a week from Tues so its been pretty manic getting things ready. I'm loving my galley, really big.. will get some pics up here soon.. other than that nothing much to report.. working, sleeping, working really... I'm on watch duty all weekend so not going anywhere but once the owners off I'm due for my long weekend so intend on getting the train to Italy which is only 15 mins away and doing some cultural things... need to find out more about the ski slopes, app they are about 2-3 hrs from here, and very beautiful.. right, well.. gonna update my cv as have decided not to take the job on Shoshanna next season.. yes would have been nice to have next years work sorted but after thinking about it I would be taking a step backwards, from being the sole chef on a 28mtr Gemini, to then crew chef on 43 mtr, here, to a 22mtr.. nah.. plus it was live off, so would not be saving any money at all... well thats that... email me with any goss.. xxxxxxx

Life on Masquerade....

Fab crew, super big cabin all to myself, got a flatscreen tv and dv in there too... we all do! Massive collection of dvd's for crew, sky tv in crew mess and internet up here in the bridge....so pretty chuffed. Working from 8am til 5 everyday, we have to take turns being on watch tho' so not every wkd off... have asked to work Christmas as prefer to have New Years off, and we'll get 5 days off for it which is cool.. well, must go, just thought I'd drop a quick hello.... xxxx

gorgous motor yacht, she's almost double the size of Gemini , so the
galley will be HUGE... and a bugger to clean..all the stainless bloody
steel... lovely captain, the crew are all English, and I'm the only
chick, so got 4 men to keep in line.. have my own cabin this time
which is great plus get a long weekend off once a month and weekends
off to go skiing as the slopes are right there.... the yacht is right
on the border, apparantly if you stand at the bow you are in Cap D'Ail
and walk to the stern you are in Monaco... will be getting me an
offshore account there pretty sharpish methinks.. I turned down the
New Zealand job as well as the St.Lucia delivery as I knew this was in
the pipeline, will be great for my cv and I can do the carribean next
year. I phoned Bernie to accept the position on Shoshanna back in
Palma next April til Oct so have work lined up all the way til then!!
Hoorah! Au Revoir! will hopefully be pretty fluent in French by the
time I finish as I'm quite good now but have never had the chance to
practise.. there's internet on board so'll be updating this pretty
regularly...xxxxxx

My Birthday!!

Had a fab time....got truly rat arsed.... had 2 hours of non stop champagne at Key West... didn´t pay for a single drink... what lovely people I have met... and then on to Ritzy´s a posh place where they brought out a cake and sparklers etc...

Been offered work on Shoshanna....

for next season April 1st til end Oct... have til the end of this month to give my answer, as won´t know what I´m doing until I get something here, my plan b will be to take the New Zealand job offer and be a private chef for the Gemini guests for the whole of Jan... been for an interview today but it was sharing with a Captain and doing the cooking, cleaning, stewardessing and deckhand.... nah! So the hunt is on.... giving myself a week to get something then make a decision... adios! My birthday 2mw.... having drinkies in Portals with peeps I have met upon the way here... xx

happy happy me, hungover as hell, had a great day on Shoshanna, a 22 mt private MY. The owners are absolutely lovely and want me back next season..... in the bag! Stayed and drank and sang-a-long to 60´s songs... and fingers crossed with the guest who took my card as he is the skipper on U2´s yacht and they may need a crew chef... how about that? I moved into my pad, got my own bathroom and the couple are really nice... got sky tv, and a swimming pool... very happy.. so that will be cool while I am looking for work... I thought it looked vaguely familiar when I was carrying my stuff in and then it dawned on me that its the same apartment block that i went back to with mr.October.... oh well, apparantly I just missed him in Key West where I went for a drink after i left the yacht... and Edddy the bar man there said that Mr.October has a girlfriend... not that i care as I didn´t know, but he best hope that he doesn´t bump into me when he´s with her as I´m not going keep my mouth shut... I can´t believe Ross is here and I haven´t met up with him, missed his email yest inviting me to a bbq, he´s at the dry dock by the cathedral back in Palma...have given him my number so can hopefully catch up soon... its my 26th next Friday, I really want to go to Puro, that cool bar in the sea with a black pool... have a look http://www.purohotel.com/ then click on the puro beach pic... thats the place, you can see why I love it so... right off to get a lollo rosso´s gamba and spinach pizza, thats prawn to you english folk... haha... need to cure my hangover.. ciao... xxx

Woohooo got a home AND day work....

Well good news... went back to Peurto Portals today as got a call from an agency for day work 2mrw as a chef on a 22 metre private motor yacht. So off I went, had a chat with the skipper, really nice English chap, he´s a yachtmaster teacher person, used to work in Amble near UKSA. The owners are English too and spoke to the wife, its them and their friends on board 2mrw BUT they are Jewish. So no, pork , thats proscuitto out the window then... no meat unless kosher, so no... and no seafood... but they do eat salmon but only cold, but as they have guests they will have it hot if its a pain... er too right.. well anywhere the yaacht is lush and the skipper lovely... ironically he took out the Nando´s partners on a trip a few years back...pissed heads the lot of them! He said... not wrong.. Not only is it just 3 courses for 4 of them but I will be getting 150 euros for the day! Very good rate as average is 80-100... if it goes well too they are looking for someone for the season next year.. so thats cool. Well my other news is after spending so long doing the dockwalk and getting my cv out I ended up getting rightly hammered in the corner bar which is the yachty haunt to network and get drunk, met some cool people and swapped numbers with 2 kiwi chicks who were great fun and been in the industry a while so lots of tips... anyways they both said they scrapped the hostel thing as was too expensive, i am spending 30 euros a night and i donñt have cooking facilities so having to eat out etc, plus washing i have to do elsewhere as they don´t have a service for it.. yes its been great as its rustic and has a bar... but practically... nope... anyway, told that i would pay about 100 a week for a flatshare so looked at the boards today and called a few places and viewed two but bit damp and grotty, didn´t feel too safe and would be leaving my stuff daily and sharing with complete strangers... well, went to portals to see this skipper and popped in to see Linda, the chick at the internet cafe who i know quite well from being on Gemini and using her shop often.. told her I was looking and she made a call to her friend who has a spare room... she just called me now to say , you can move in 2mrw, drop your stuff here before you go for your daywork and you can stay there up to a few weeks... she is English and in her 40´s so can trust her... plus this is the area that Sid Owen lives so increasing my chances of seeing him again.... Rickaaay!! The only negative is that it means getting a bus into Palma town each time to see agencies and do the dockwalk but I guess thats not the end of the world...

Off to do the dockwalk as thats how I got my job on day one, gonna stop feeling so sorry for myself... the cool job I went for yesterday with uber cool itinery looked like a pirate ship, they spoke hardly and inglis... and it may only be til Dec as they have no definate charters booked in....er... crap to that. I have to be on for a full season. Waiting to hear froma chick called Megan in St.Martin for a position starting Nov 6th...private yacht... but til I hear anything gonna go crazy today and get my cv and cards out everywhere including the dry dock where all the yachts are in the yard for repair before leaving to the Carribean,.... wish me luck!!!

Panicking a little....

Running out of cash fast, and my hostel closes in one week.... been going like the clappers today to email prospective employers.... going to do the dockwalk from tommorrow in the hope of finding a perm position on a yacht in Club de Mar... need to remain positive but obvsiously panicking a tad as don´t wish to be coming back to U.K.... got an interview for a yacht going to India but it won´t be leaving for a few weeks yet... got to find a positon that allows me to move on board asap... cross your fingers for me, I know I landed on my feet on day one , lets just hope I can do it again. Finding it harder as for some parts of the carribean you need a B1B2 visa which I don´t have, long, complicated and expensive to get... and too late for most boats to arrange for you. So having to try for ones which don´t need, also catch 22 really as much bigger yachts so need people with more experience but happy to be a crew or 2nd chef instead of a sole one.. watch this space. xxx

This is THE BEST hostel ever....clean, simple, great hospitality, they have a bar and restaurant, you can rent bicycles for the day and they have the most legendary Halloween party every year, watch this space for pics... gonna be a geisha after seeing Memoirs of a Geisha... but an evil vampire one... hehehe....

Just been taking in Palma, getting mas drunky... and being a naughty sailor... well there was Mr.August at the UKSA, (Will aged 20... never again) Mr. September on my 2nd day in Palma, and the day I passed my cooking interview... ( Dan, 24 Aussie...boy n hostel room) and Mr.October (Andrew, 34, the Hugh Grant lookilikey) on my lat night in Portals... hehe... ahem.. and November isn´t far away....

YACHT LIFE IN PALMA

Arrived on Sunday 10th September at about midnight, checked into my smelly hostel which was at the top floor and filed with 4 smelly boys... went dockwalking on Day one and within 2 hours had rung the bell, yes they have doorbells some yachts.. on a boat that came out with a number to call of someone looking for a temporary chef for the last month and half of the season.. so I called, ended up meeting the current chef and Captain for an interview. Called back that night and had a cooking interview the following day! Given a spec of seafood starter, meat main and light dessert.... I did king prawn tempura, green thai chicken curry and mini fresh fruit pavlovas for dessert... it wen down a storm and was offered the live on board position on M.Y Gemini, 94ft Ferretti Customline based in Peurto Portals.

The £40 million cash heist- the biggest robbery in British history. Apparantly its going to be hard for them to shift it, so if you want to throw any of it my way you are more than welcome. Funny that on the very same day the lottery winners in Nebraska won a cool few million themselves.... hmm...maybe it was them and they are blagging that they won the lotto?? Ok Justine crazy speak, but I was serious about passing some of the cash my way if any of you thieves out there read this?!!

What's new

Um... well still haven't found a job... need to find something soon as i am becoming lazy- watched i robot today- actually quite enjoyed it. Just need any job in order to save my ass off to go to Thailand... at this rate will prob aim to be going by June/July time. We shall see, will keep you filled in on here along the way. Need to start making cash by selling all my stuff on ebay, its just getting my ass in gear to do it. Gonna rid myself of my electric scooter, will be sad to see it go but it has served its purpose. Anyway just thought I'd pop on and say hello and ciao! xxx

This is Angel and she is the cutest most loving pussycat around... she had her "op" but they could only find one shrivelled ovary and not the other, leaving her still with her desires to go on heat and shag every tomcat in North London.
Angel and Dillon, here they are. And altho they're with the ex, I still miss them like mad, but they are just cats and may they live fab lives and eat themselves silly on science plan.

Nando's Bum Stunt...

Many moons (geddit?!) ago, i did the bum stunt for Nando's. Parading up and down Earls Court road with a sandwich board and my ass cut out of my jeans with a nandos tattoo on it... showing just how hot peri peri is... yes once again I am promoting them, and I am a peri peri addict, not quite sure what I will do when i go travelling... do they do peri patches??
I was in the tabloids the next day, haven't ever got round to scanning that in and hopefully will soon, but this was doing the rounds on a forward email round the world and a friend in South africa sent it over... enjoy. xx
